Itinerary for FIT 2018 Greece Study Program
May 29-June 23, 2018
(26 days; 25 nights)
NOTE:
-
The cost of the trip will be no more than -- the unbeatable price of -- $3500 for a group of 13-14 students; less if we have more than that (this excludes FIT tuition for a 3-credit course). The $3500 includes airfare, lodging, all transport in Greece, breakfast, health insurance, and cost of getting into sites and museums. Only lunch and dinner is on participants, but food in Greece is very inexpensive -- amongst the cheapest (and healthiest, and tastiest!) in Europe!
-
We will be staying at very good hotels, with spacious lobbies and dining areas -- not dorms or hostels! All hotels are ideally located in the center of town, within walking distance of all major sites. There will be no more than 2 students per room. All rooms during our 24 nights in Greece are equipped with all the basics (wifi, TV, refrig, hairdryers, and what's considered a basic in Greece -- a balcony!). Hearty breakfasts (hot and cold buffets) will be available at all our hotels. Rooms will be made daily.
-
There will be two free dinners (on our first and final day in Greece), and free snacks (e.g., some combination of tyropita, keftedakia, saganaki, souvlakia, fresh-cut potato fries, zucchini balls, various dips, etc) every other evening, during our seminars.
-
We will have breakfast at 8am daily, and depart for our day trips at 8.30am.
-
Seminars will be held every other day at 7pm. There will be a total of 11 seminars.
-
All required readings will be included in a reading packet, which will be distributed prior to departure.
