I was born in Thessaloniki, Greece, and raised in Asbury Park on the Jersey Shore, whose je ne sais quoi in the 70s and 80s certainly infected me. :-)  Being a lover of both science and the humanities, I went on to earn a B.S. in Mathematics, B.A. in Philosophy, and Minor in Classics from Rutgers College, New Jersey, in 1991, and a Ph.D. in Philosophy from the Graduate Center of the City University of New York in 2008.  My thesis was on Wittgenstein's philosophical method, and its application to rule-following in his Philosophical Investigations.  Nowadays I find myself thinking and writing mainly about problems in moral and political philosophy.  Aside from trying to solve the world's problems, I greatly enjoy travel, museums, world history and literature, photography, hiking through unspoiled landscapes, and swimming in the Aegean Sea.
